How Gift Aid information is captured
Section titled “How Gift Aid information is captured”Gift Aid eligibility is captured at registration as a simple yes/no (checkbox):
- Checked — eligible for Gift Aid.
- Unchecked — not eligible.
Once a member declares eligibility, they are assumed eligible for all future purchases unless they tell you otherwise. There is currently no self-service way for members to change this themselves.
View Gift Aid status in Stripe
Section titled “View Gift Aid status in Stripe”- Log in to Stripe and click Customers.
- Click Edit columns above the customer grid.
- Ensure Gift aid is selected.
Customers with checked in the gift_aid column have declared eligibility. A blank value means no declaration has been made.

You can also view Gift Aid status on an individual customer profile under Meta Data.
How to update Gift Aid status
Section titled “How to update Gift Aid status”If a member tells you their status has changed:
- Open their customer profile in Stripe.
- Scroll to Meta Data.
- Click the pencil icon to edit.
- Remove or update the
gift_aid = checkedfield.
